In fact; such a great hit….that he is now under a PENDING ADOPTION!

BHRR's Freeze is NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION!
He is one very laid back 'chill' border collie! He has fit in so well here, is fully integrated, a very quiet and obedient boy and so stunning!
His one 'quirk' remains cars, especially those red ones and when you drive; he can zip back and forth in the back seat from one side of the car to another to 'chase' them. He is not super vocal and has learnt the 'shhhhhh' command.
He has tons of patience and is such an affectionate, kind little boy.
His right matched forever loving home is so versatile! We would like to see him go to a home that has another right matched personality fit dog; yet; a home that does not already have another dog is not mandatory. He is good with kids and people of all shapes and sizes and dogs and he is a really super nice boy!!!!
A therapy or obedience dog he could well be!!!

BHRR's Freeze came to KAH with me when I went to work on Saturday April 7th. He weighed 19 KGs(41.8 pounds) and was updated on his vaccines. His chip was added to his file.
He had a one hour play date with Volunteers that came to KAH to take him out and they noted the same thing; that red cars in particular 'get him going' in the back – zooming back and forth, back and forth. The only time he barked was at a speeding black vehicle that passed him.
HE was sooooooooooooo loved at KAH! He is a very calm and lower energy BC for sure! SOOOOOOOOOO incredibly sweet and quiet!
He cannot have stuffies though! He will shred them! He has been integrated with all the dogs here other than BHRR's Riley & BHRR's Atlas and his bff is Drift! 🙂 My blue GD TAIN just wuvs him and BHRR's Freeze and TAIN are now also good buddies! 🙂
BHRR's Freeze came with me on Saturday April 14th as one of the amazing BHRR representatives PLUS incredible Border Collie Breed representatives to Pet Valu as part of their Pet Appreciation Weekend event.
BHRR was invited to the new Pet Valu in Kemptville, Ontario and we were there both Saturday(BHRR's Journey also came) & on Sunday(BHRR's Hamilton and BHRR's Kyo came) and had a most wonderful community education and awareness event!
THANK you so much to Erika and all the amazing staff of Pet Valu again for inviting us and they are still taking donations for 'pawprints' up to and including April 30th, 2012! I was informed yesterday that they were just shy of $1,000 raised and those monies shall be used towards going to pay for a Pet Pro 2000 IV pump( $2,000+ USD ) for those special needs dogs in need of IV treatment at BHRR.
THANK you to all the Volunteers who spent their time with me this weekend AND thank you to all the supporters who came out to visit!

That BHRR will be at the NEW Pet Valu located in the Kemptville Colonnade Retail Mall(Hwy 43 & 416 – near the new Timmie's & Canadian Tire!), on Saturday April 14th from 10 AM to 3 PM & then again on Sunday April 15th from 11 AM to 4 PM for their Pet Appreciation weekend!
On Saturday – BHRR's Journey and BHRR's Freeze are going to be in attendance plus I shall be bringing Drift to begin his own 'big world' introduction.
On Sunday – BHRR's Hamilton The Newf & BHRR's Hailey shall be in attendance. This shall be good for BHRR's Hailey to also get her back into the 'big world'!
I shall also be doing microchipping for $40 which includes registration – NO APPOINTMENTS NECESSARY!
Looking forward to a great weekend of public awareness/community education on not just BHRR yet; so many other important topics re: animal welfare plus giving our dogs some more fabu experiences! Maybe, some right matched forever loving homes will meet them and consider submittIng an application to adopt. 🙂

Awhile back, I was contacted by a woman named Kathy Radar. She had recently purchased a new vehicle a ‘Journey’ and she had heard about BHRR’s Journey’s story. She contacted me wanting to do a Fundraiser to ‘Fill Up Her Journey For Journey & BHRR Friends’.
This is one reason why we are hosting a special BHRR ‘EXPERIENCE’ Mini Open House in April; for she shall be coming up to BHRR with her friend to drop off her Journey filled with goodies! I thought it would be lovely for her & her friend to meet others involved with BHRR, pass along their own appreciation for her efforts etc. 🙂

I will be making an appointment to bring him in for a weight, HWT and to update his vaccines. I shall also scan to see if he is microchipped and if not, chip him.
His original name was 'Buck' and then it was changed to another 'B' name and then he was being called 'Blue' and I am not sure if he had any other names and we are calling him Freeze. A new name for a new beginning! 🙂

More Information on BHRR's Freeze:
From the bio sent my way from the Rescue that had him out west; it was written down the following:
'he is NOT good with cats, though the dog behaviorist believes he could be trained to be fine.'
He arrives to BHRR tomorrow and… from there, I shall do a very thorough and detailed evaluation/assessment which shall include cat testing.
What we have had also sent our way from the documentation from two homes(Rescue, Behaviorist consulted by them and a family member of the Rescue) is that he has been great with dogs of all sizes, fantastic with kids, has had a history of wanting to chase cars(better!) and is has been called a 'gentle soul'.
BHRR's Freeze – 15 month old(b. December 15th, 2010) DEAF Border Collie, neutered. Vaccines due in March.
His Story –
Freeze has been in 5 homes to date, born in Sask., sold to a person in Alberta, surrendered to Rescue in Alberta; then adopted to a home in Ontario and is now residing in another home in Ontario awaiting to come to BHRR.
