It finally happened….and was the sweetest gift EVER! ARC Baby, Rose gave me her first kiss…..and in fact, it was MORE than one kiss! Sigh…….such a present to have bestowed upon myself!
Here is a VIDEO of my 'ARC Babies' – Rose & Petal! They were my co-pilots today on my way to work
BHRR's Rose was a very thin 18.1 KGs(39.82 pounds); was given a convenia injection for her UTI and we postponed her DAPP Booster until she is over the UTI. We microchipped her, did presurgical bw and also a HWT. She is scheduled to be spayed on July 10th.
BHRR's Petal was a very thin 16.9 KGs(37.18 pounds); had her eye looked over and it appears to be doing really well; had her DAPP Booster and we microchipped her, did presurgical bw and also a HWT. She is scheduled to be spayed on July 10th.
The Vet believes that BHRR's Rose is no more than 2. He believes that BHRR's Petal is around the same age.
Both did really well in the car. They were very quiet at the Hospital and sadly, BHRR's Rose did have a pee out of nervousness when she was being chipped. Both did really well with the Vet and BHRR's Rose even took treats from the Vet! Liver treats…have to remember that one….BHRR's Petal hid under the front desk at the Hospital until she felt comfortable and she poked her head out when she was ready and did fantastic after that.
Many commented on how bonded they both are to me and well, the feelings are very mutual! 😉
They are both quite nervous of Mason and Sean; yet; are more 'ok' with Kinsley and they just keep getting better and better…….very small baby steps with them….very small…….so much can startle and shake them up but they trust me more and more….
The amount of hair I have pulled out of both of them is CRAZY! They need regular grooming and are not hard to maintain and how tragic that their grooming needs were not maintained. 🙁
At our recent BHRR 'EXPERIENCE' Mini Open House; neither dog wanted to come out in the beginning. Then BHRR's Rose poked her head out a few times and then back into her crate and then she poked her head out again and eventually came all the way out plus even went outside for a pee. Towards, the end of the BHRR 'EXPERIENCE' Mini Open House; BHRR's Rose was walking much more comfortably around the place and we had 6 guests stay for dinner and she was even better by then. BHRR's Petal, much more shy and scared; actually; also came out towards the end of our event and by the time dinner rolled around with our 6 guests, she; was walking around a bit on her own, looking more relaxed and in her element.
Per the information package that we sent out before the event and as we kept telling several people at the event; please passively ignore them and do not force yourself on them. They need time and space and patience and understanding.
